COBIT® 2019 Foundation Course
Make IT Governance Work
With COBIT® Done Right
Turn IT governance into a real business advantage with a practical COBIT® course that helps you set clear decision rights, strengthen risk control, align IT with business strategy, and build measurable oversight—so governance moves from paperwork to results.
If this sounds familiar, we can fix it:
Decisions are made, but ownership and responsibility remain blurred.
Weak Oversight
Controls exist, yet performance and risk are not clearly monitored.
Misaligned Investments
IT spending grows without clear linkage to business priorities.
Repeated Findings
Audit issues and control gaps keep resurfacing year after year.
COBIT® 2019 Foundation
What is COBIT?
COBIT is the leading global framework for enterprise IT governance. It provides a structured approach to align IT with business strategy, strengthen accountability, manage risk, and ensure measurable oversight across the organization.
What We Offer
A practical COBIT® program that takes you from assessment to implementation. You’ll learn how to diagnose gaps, design a tailored governance model, define decision rights (RACI), build key policies and controls, set KPIs/KRIs, and create a clear 60–45–90 day roadmap—so governance becomes operational, measurable, and sustainable.
“Good governance makes decisions faster because everyone knows who owns what.”
How the COBIT® 2019 Course Works
Format: On-site or virtual, interactive
Duration: 3–4 full days (depending on delivery model)
Language: English (with Arabic support)
01. Understand
We build a clear understanding of enterprise governance, the difference between governance and management, COBIT principles, governance components, and how COBIT integrates with other standards and regulatory environments.
02. Design
Participants learn how to map enterprise goals to governance objectives, define decision rights and accountability structures, understand governance system components, and structure performance and risk oversight using COBIT guidance.
03. Assess
We explore capability and maturity concepts, practice high-level assessment approaches, identify governance gaps, and understand how to prioritize improvement initiatives.
04. Apply
We connect COBIT to practical implementation considerations — how governance systems are phased, measured, and sustained inside real organizations.
What Success Looks Like After COBIT
Without Structured Governance
When governance is unclear, decision rights overlap, accountability is blurred, and risk grows quietly. IT investments increase, audit findings repeat, and leadership lacks clear visibility into performance and control.
Result: Effort increases, but confidence does not.
What We Build Together in the Course
We design a practical governance structure. Clear decision rights, defined accountability (RACI), aligned enterprise goals, measurable KPIs and KRIs, and structured oversight mechanisms that connect strategy, risk, and execution.
Result: Governance becomes structured, not symbolic.
What Changes After the Course
Decisions become clearer and faster. Risk oversight becomes measurable. Investments are aligned with business priorities. Audit conversations shift from findings to improvements.
Result: IT governance moves from reactive compliance to trusted leadership control.

This Isn’t a Cost — It’s an Investment
COBIT pays back when decisions become clear, controls become consistent, and audit issues stop repeating.
If the course helps your team avoid just one of these, it can cover the fee on its own:
- A repeated audit finding that consumes weeks
- A misaligned IT investment approved without clear value
- A control gap that turns into an incident or penalty
- A delayed decision because ownership isn’t clear
The real return is long-term: stronger oversight, lower risk exposure, and faster, defensible executive decisions.

Frequently asked questions
Will this help us align with Central Bank regulations and supervisory expectations?
Yes. COBIT provides a structured governance model that helps you define decision rights, accountability, risk oversight, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms. These elements directly support regulatory expectations around control, transparency, and board-level oversight—especially in regulated sectors like banking and telecom.
Can COBIT help us control large-scale IT & network investments?
Absolutely. COBIT focuses on value realization, risk optimization, and resource optimization. You’ll learn how to link enterprise goals to IT initiatives, establish governance checkpoints, and ensure major investments are monitored, justified, and aligned with business strategy.
Will I get support after the training?
Is this practical or just theory?
This is highly practical. We use real scenarios from banking and telecom environments, maturity assessment examples, governance design exercises, and roadmap-building workshops. You will leave with tools you can immediately apply.
Is the certification included?
The course prepares you fully for the COBIT certification exam. Exam arrangements can be included or organized separately depending on the training format and agreement.
How is this different from other COBIT courses?
Most courses explain the framework. This course shows you how to use it. We focus on real governance design, practical maturity assessment, building KPIs & KRIs, and creating an actionable implementation roadmap tailored to your industry.
